eucalyptus color series

research description

This research is in continuity with two other projects; eucalyptus paper series and red log torno. It further explores the inherent properties of the leaves, nuts bark and wood from the tree. All these elements contain strong tannins that can be used to dye fabrics. We obtain red from the wood, yellow from young leaves, brown from the bark, beige from the nuts and many other gradients.

I was very honored to be presenting my work at the exhibition FRUGAL during Paris Design Week 2021.
